As the price of mobile hardware and software continues to come down, more and more
service companies are outfitting their technicians with mobile devices. ServiceFirst is committed
to helping our customers benefit from exciting trends in this area, and to extending
the functionality and power of ServiceFirst to the field for improved service
experiences.
Email-Enabled Mobile Devices:
ServiceFirst users can send detailed information about customers and service orders to technicians
using most any mobile device that has an Internet email address.
Notebook/Laptop Computers:
Users can access the full ServiceFirst OnDemand functionality using notebook/laptop computers
with a high-speed Internet connection (a.k.a. "broadband"), including
wireless connections such as Wi-Fi and wireless broadband. Customers may even choose
to outfit their technicians, salespeople, or service managers with notebook/laptop
computers and give them the power of ServiceFirst OnDemand while in the field.
PDAs and Mobile Devices:
ServiceFirst works with partner companies specializing in mobile communications to provide
the ability to wirelessly dispatch detailed call information and service call history
to PDAs and mobile devices. Additionally, techs are able to wirelessly update SERVICE
FIRST!™ when service calls are acknowledged, started, and completed--all without
dispatcher interaction.
